The Storyboard and film language

The storyboard and film language are an important process to show what you want to do at your animation work, that are part of pre-setting. Those are make idea and your concept clear-up. easy to remain your thought.

WHY STORYBOARD?

i found some academic theory about storyboarding.this is come from book "FROM WORD TO IMAGE"--------- Marcie Begleiter  2010

The auther said:"film and video are highly collaborative media. Most projects depend on the input and cooperation of dozens, if not hundreds, of coworkers, In order for the producton to work smoothly, there needs to a method to communicate about the numerous decisions that must be made by each department and coordinated by the director and his or her senior staff. The storyboard and its related documents--- the shot list and the overhead diagram --- are essential tools for communicating visual ideas to the entire crew."

In my opinon, i agree with above theory and i think it depends which case how many people involve into the work, i done storyboard not too much, before i creat this story" The girl and her eraser", after reading academic book about story and tutorial that give me an clear up concept about this, i would like classify it, there are different type and depends on their degree, to what degree and how many detail provided by story is important.  Other auther ,Andy Myatt metion that : there are 4 type :
  The thumbnail storyboard

  The rough storyboard

  The clean-up

  The animatic

this time i make an animatic storyboard

there are many different statements and classification, Marcie Begleiter 2010 metion that shot list and text reference all included in the storyboard, put all things together, other auther Andy Wyatt
break up the storyabord and shot list and text reference. I believe Andy's point more clearly and simple way as animation storyboard especially for independent filmmaking.

In conclusion, personaly speaking ,i believe to seprate the storyboard and film shot as two part can make clean up thought, because storyboard focus on how the story going to be, and film language focus on the shot,example, does this shot and camara angle realy fit for this scene or not, i think film language process can make storyboard close to actual combat.
